Also, mein Name is Nadine, ähm, ich bin jetzt seit acht Jahren in Berlin, em, ich bin Sonderpädagogin bzw. mache grad mein Referendariat an einer Schule für Körperbehinderte, bin im Moment aber in Elternzeit. Leb’ seit den acht Jahren in Berlin die ganze Zeit hier im Friedrichshain, ... und ... ja.

Warum bist du damals nach Berlin gekommen, und warum bist du genau nach Friedrichshain gezogen?

Ähm, nach Berlin bin ich gekommen, weil ich gern – ich war vorher in Köln und wollte gern noch mal die Stadt wechseln, wollte noch mal was anderes sehen, und hab gedacht, ich nutz das Studium um,  ... da, da hat man noch die freie Wahl – und hab mir dann Berlin ausgesucht als Stadt. Ich kannte jemanden, der hier war und das lag dann irgendwie nah, nicht ganz neu irgendwo anders anzufangen. Und die Stadt hat mir einfach sehr gefallen und ich wollte was Großes, was Neues (lacht). Und ähm Friedrichshain äh hat sich irgendwie so ergeben. Ich äh war vorher hier im Praktikum, und da hatt’ ich ein Zimmerchen hier im Friedrichshain und dann bin ich hier dann doch wieder gelandet irgendwie, als ich dann richtig auf Wohnungssuche war.

Und gefällt’s dir noch hier?

Ja. Auf jeden Fall. Es hat sich sehr verändert, aber äh, es ist nach wie vor immer noch nett.

 

Wie hat’s sich verändert so, aus deiner Perspektive?

 

Aus meiner Perspektive ist es wesentlich hipper geworden, und ähm, ja, das Publikum hat sich einfach, äh, schon auch sehr verändert. Also es ist viel mehr Tourismus hier und, ja, zum Teil war’s einfach früher bisschen abgefuckter und irgendwie, ja, bisschen alternativer noch, find ich.

Und wie gefällt dir die Veränderung so?

Ich find’ es is noch ok., ich find, es is noch in ’nem Rahmen, wo’s irgendwie ok ist so.

Wo kommt ihr genau grade her und wo geht ihr hin?

Ähm, wir kommen grade aus einem Café (lacht), haben Kaffee und Kuchen gegessen, getrunken und gehen jetzt zum Lidl zum Einkaufen. (lacht)

Was braucht ihr?

Zum ... was wir einkaufen? Ähm ... wir  wollen heute grillen und hoffen, dass das Wetter mitmacht und brauchen entsprechend Grillgut und solche Geschichten.

Wie geht’s dir grad? 

Gut!

Was ... wie hast du dich verändert, seit du hier bist? Also, wie bist du geworden, wenn ma noch mal auf das „werden“ zurückkommen.

In dem letzten Jahr sehr, dadurch, dass ich Mutter geworden bin, hat sich unheimlich viel verändert, also auch so an meinem Alltag und meinem Leben hier im Friedrichshain. Ich strolch hier seit neun Monaten durch die Straßen, wie ich’s vorher nie gemacht hab’, weil ich frei habe! (lacht) Das ist irgendwie was ganz Neues für mich und überhaupt das Muttersein ist was ganz Neues.

Ja, was wartest, erwartest du oder erhoffst du oder befürchtest du was diesen Sommer noch wird?

 

Ähm, was befürchte, ich befürchte ... nich wirklich was, ähm, ... ich freue mich auf meine Hochzeit (lacht)

Wann ist die?

Die ist am, im August ... und ähm ... ja.

Und hoffe, dass wir weiterhin schönes Wetter haben, damit wir denn auch auf unsrer Reise schönes Wetter haben.

Well, my name is Nadine, er, I have been in Berlin for eight years now, er, I’m a special education teacher that is a trainee teacher at a school for students with physical disabilities, at the moment though I’m in parental time. The eight years I have been living in Berlin I’ve always lived here in Friedrichshain, … and .. yes.

Why did you come to Berlin at that time, and why did you come right here to Friedrichshain?

Er, I came to Berlin, because I wanted – I was in Köln (Cologne) before and wanted to change cities once more, wanted to see something else, and thought to use the time I’m studying to … there you, you still have free choice – and so I chose Berlin. I already knew someone who lived here and that suggested itself, not to start completely new in a new place. And I just liked the city a lot and wanted something big, something new. (laughs) And, er, Friedrichshain, er, it somehow came about. I er was doing work experience here before, and at that time I had a little room here in the Friedrichshain, and then I somehow landed here again, when I was looking for a place to live.

And do you still like it here?

Yes. Definitely. It has changed a lot, but, er, it is still as nice as it’s been before.

How has it changed, in your perspective?

In my eyes it’s become much hipper, and, er, yes, the public has simply, er, yes it has changed a lot. That is, it’s much more tourism here and, yes, before it’s simply been more fucked up and somehow, yes, a little bit more alternative here I think.

And how do you like the change?

I think it’s still ok, it’s still within the realms where it is ok somehow.

Where exactly are you coming from right now and where are you going?

Er, we’ve just come out of a café (laughs), had coffee and cake and now we go to Lidl (German discounter) to do our groceries.

What do you need?

To … what we are going to buy? Er … we want to make a barbecue today and hope that the weather is keeping up and need food to grill and such stuff.

How are you feeling right now?

I’m well!

What … how have you changed since you’ve been here? I mean, how have you become – if we go back to “becoming/werden”.

In the last year I’ve changed a lot. By becoming a mother an incredible lot has changed, also in my daily life and in my life here in the Friedrichshain. I’ve been roaming through the streets for nine months now the way I’ve never done it before, because I’m off! (laughs)

That’s somehow something completely new for me, and in general, being a mother is completely new.

What do you wait for, expect or hope for to become this summer, what are you afraid of that will become?

Er, what I’m afraid of … nothing really, er, .. I’m looking forward to my wedding (laughs)

When is it?

It’s on …, in August .. and er … yes.

And I hope that the weather will continue to be nice so that we will have good weather on our journey, too.

Where are you going to?

To Föhr (German Northsea Island).
