WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HAPPEN IN NEW ORLEANS?
WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE OF THIS CITY?
We will walk through the streets in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans following a map that overlaps the words “sew” and "sow." Along this route, people will be asked the aforementioned questions. Their responses will be recorded and written on two pieces of fabric. Along the path, we will "sow" one piece into the ground and "sew" the other pieces together to make one large artwork to be auctioned at a later date. Proceeds will be given to the participating residents of the Lower Ninth Ward.
